Conventions
I speak at a number of literary conventions every year, mostly SF-related. Sometimes I bring students as well; anyone in my science fiction course at UConn who attends either Boskone or Lunacon can write one fewer paper in the course (since they'll learn more about the field from a conference than from any single paper that they'll write.)
Here are the places you're most likely to find me:
Arisia - Held in Boston every January.
Boskone - Held in Boston every February, typically on President's Weekend.
Lunacon - Held in New York every March.
Philcon - Held in Philadelphia in November or December.
Readercon - Held near Boston every July.
Connecticon - Held in Hartford every July.
